The Association for Reading Promotion and Cultural Literacy promotes the reading culture in the country. It strives to make reading a popular activity in Lithuania by facilitating discussions around books in the belief that quality literature brings a positive change in people’s lives. Members of the Association spent many years developing reading promotion projects that are now being implemented.

The key projects held by the Association are:

Literary discussion forum “Nordic Summer”

International Literature festival “Vilnius Pages“

Reading promotion campaign “Book of the Year”

Based on the belief that together we can do more, the Association works with carefully chosen partner institutions and organizations in Lithuania and beyond. In 2012, the Association joined the International Reading Association.
